For over thirty years, Buffalo Airways has continually operated under the same ownership.  With a fleet of 28 mostly Heavy aircraft, our reputation as a safe and efficient operation is something you can depend on.  Buffalo Airways offers what no other fire suppression service can - a diversified fleet that operates on land or water, year-round, not just during the regular fire season.  Three of our Douglas DC-4s are equipped with the most modern computerized retardant delivery systems available, four PBY Cansos for scooping roles and Birddogs to accompany these main aircraft.

Buffalo Airways also operates and maintains four Canadair CL-215s for the Government of the Northwest Territories which protect the forests, communities and mine sites in a forested area covering 614,000 ha².
